Primary Duties and Responsibilities


The Foundation Director, Gift Services is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all Foundation gifts and associated data, as well as for design and development of effective and efficient policies, procedures and controls, consistent with common industry best practices and in compliance with UPMIFA, IRS and GAAP-basis regulations and directives.

As the leader of this function, this position is also responsible for strategic planning, development and leadership of a team dedicated to excellence, and for developing and maintaining cross-functional relationships with other foundation functions including accounting, fund administration, legal, gift planning, data administration and others.


Education and Experience

  • Eight or more years of relevant business experience, preferably in a nonprofit/foundation related industry, with a minimum of four years of supervisory experience
  • Four or more years of experience in a gift processing related role
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Strong planning, critical thinking and analysis skills
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
