The Commercial Operations Regulatory Analyst will manage origination loan volume with collateral located within a Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA).
This role is a part of the processing team that resides in the line of business that validates, and approves all collateral for new loan originations within SFHAs to ensure both regulatory and Bank requirements are met.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support other specialized processing functions such as Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) reporting. Obtain flood insurance requirements and order and confirm insurance requirements to ensure that federal regulations and operational compliance are met.
- Comply with all Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA) regulations and handle all hazard insurance requirements.
- Manage expectations of the business line and clients related to timelines to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of data entry into bank systems through closing the loan.
- Responsible for CRA and HMDA Quality Assurance for qualified transactions and submitting evidence of insurance for final approval.
- Work with additional internal and external business partners and other assigned duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Must have 12 years commercial loan experience or relevant loan transaction experience.
- Previous commercial loan experience to FDPA and HMDA is strongly preferred.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Must have exceptional attention to detail.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as exceptional listening ability.
- Must have ability to communicate effectively and work with Associates from all levels of the organization.
- Must have exceptional problem solving abilities.
- Must have the ability to make decision and recommendations on difficult and important issues affecting procedures and practices with the Division and supporting areas.
- Must be able to work well in a group when resolving issues that may arise.
- Must be able to complete duties within defined deadlines and handle many transactions during peak times.
