Job Summary


As an Intake Coordinator at AmeriPharma, you will be responsible for coordinating and processing incoming patient referrals, ensuring accurate documentation, and facilitating the smooth transiting of patients into our care.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all referrals are complete and clear
  • Verify insurance accurately and completely prior to passing the referral to the pharmacy staff
  • Communicate with other departments regarding the status of referrals and documentation requests
  • Notify patients/families/referral sources regarding coverage and payment responsibilities as necessary
  • Respond to inquiries from patients and referral sources via telephone, fax, and electronic data interfaces
  • Document in the patient's clinical record progress notes, all requests, and conversations for the purposes of seamless coordination of care
  • Demonstrate professional etiquette and courtesy when interfacing with consumers/ customers
  • Comply with and adhere to all regulatory compliance areas, policies, and procedures and AmeriPharma's "best
practices"

  • Assist the pharmacist, nurse, and patient with clinical and technical support
  • Work with a team of other pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, Registered Nurses, to ensure the quality of care
to all patients


Required Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Superior interpersonal effectiveness, telephone customer service and relationship building skills
  • Strong time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge in various Microsoft programs including word, excel and outlook
  • Ability to work well under pressure at times and multitask daily
  • Selfmotivated, quick learner and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Capable of maintaining a flexible availability

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years of previous Specialty Home Infusion Pharmacy experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharmacy Technician License highly preferred
  • Spanish speaking highly preferred
  • CPR + experience highly preferred

Schedule Details

  • In-Person (Orange, Ca)
  • Monday-Friday 7:00am3:30pm, or 8:30am5:00pm
