    BCS has an immediate opening for a

    Risk & B

    usiness Analyst

    to join our growing team supporting the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). This person will support the Federal Project Managers, Financial Analysts, and Administrators.

    This position requires an ability to take initiative and a willingness to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment directly with the Federal client and other members of our team.

    The Risk & Business Analyst will manage the process of identifying, analyzing, assessing, and communicating risk and accepting, avoiding, transferring, or controlling it to an acceptable level, considering the associated costs and benefits of any actions taken.


    Other aspects of the role may include:
    The handling of risks through specific methods and techniques.
    Effective risk management is an essential element of every project.

    The DOE risk management concept is based on the principles that risk management must be analytical, forward-looking, structured, informative and continuous.

    Risk assessments should be performed as early as possible in the project and should identify critical technical, performance, schedule and cost risks.

    Once risks are identified, sound risk mitigation strategies and actions should be developed and documented.
    Job Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree

    • 3 years of applicable experience
    Familiarity with risk management
    Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must
    Ability to travel to Washington, DC, Pittsburgh, PA or Morgantown, WV if needed
    Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    Experience with document editing
    Ability to work closely with clients to develop briefings and reports
    Be able to provide high-level data analysis is a plus
