Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for these clients. Your portfolio of clients will primarily be operating partnerships and high net worth individuals.
Responsible for timely final review and delivery of the pass-through entity and individual federal and state income tax compliances including quarterly estimates.
Manage and review tax advisory engagements related to partnerships and individuals.
Assist with federal and state audits, including correspondence, compilation of data requests and audit coordination.
Responsible for developing & training the team of individuals and providing feedback on a regular basis.
Manage risk and performance of engagements which may include project budgets, resource planning, status and financial metrics.
Participate in and contribute to marketing and business development activities of the firm.
Qualifications & Experience:
7+ years in public accounting combined with advanced academic qualifications; active CPA (current and valid license required).
Strong technical skill in federal and multi-state pass-through taxation.
Preference for experience with medical and dental practices tax, including partnership taxation, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, and acquisition/disposition planning and structuring.
Strong experience in tax planning for business owners/ high net worth individuals.
Proficient knowledge of automated tax processing systems and Microsoft Office tools, including hands-on experience with advanced Excel features, Thomson Reuters GoSystems and tax research applications.
Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability.
