Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced Account Manager to help strengthen and expand their industrial and commercial water treatment business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing established accounts, driving growth opportunities, delivering technical expertise, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction across boiler, cooling, closed loop, wastewater, and other water treatment applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, develop, and retain a portfolio of industrial and commercial customer accounts.
- Carry out routine site visits, including water analysis, system inspections, reporting, troubleshooting, and optimisation of treatment programs.
- Design and implement water treatment strategies that support operational efficiency, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, including chemical programs, equipment solutions, service contracts, and capital projects.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving for both water chemistry and mechanical/process‑related issues.
- Produce proposals, quotes, service documentation, KPIs, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all programs meet profitability expectations and adhere to commercial guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams—operations, technical support, management—to deliver strong customer outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in industrial or commercial water treatment is strongly preferred (boilers, cooling systems, closed loops, wastewater, or related process applications).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with pumps, controllers, feed systems, and industrial equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot system performance and chemical feed equipment.
- Proven track record in sales, account management, or technical field service within a relevant industry.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and relationship‑building skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
