Position Summary:

Sonic Industries, Inc. is a leading aerospace fastener company.

Sargent Aerospace & Defense is a premier global supplier of custom engineered, precision products to the aerospace and defense industries.

Sargent / Sonic have an immediate opening for a
Maintenance. Performs welding plumbing, electrical and carpentry and minor construction. May be required to perform some custodial duties.

Key Position Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Use power and hand tools to perform repair and maintenance work.
Services equipment by oiling, greasing, and coolants as required.
Operate forklift and other basic loading and unloading equipment as required, to move machine chips, and hazardous material.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Ability to perform physical tasks involving bending, squatting, standing for extended periods of time, pushing, reaching and some lifting.
Committed to quality service.
Displays a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently. Works with mínimal supervision. Demonstrates responsible behavior and attention to detail.
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and Holidays.
Ability to fluently read, work and follow instructions in English.
Possess a Class C, California Driver's License.
Maintain good driver safety record. (Must provide DMV record annually).

Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

1 year of general maintenance and repair. Experience on CNC lathe and mills or equivalent combination of experience will be considered.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Good communication skills.
Good numerical and reasoning ability.
Ability to organize tasks and work with others.

ITAR Requirement:

Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) or a Foreign Person for whom a license is obtained.

Quality Requirement:

Employees will participate as required in understanding, implementing and maintaining the Company Quality Policy in accordance with AS-9100C and/or ISO-9001:2009 requirements.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Position works around machinery and equipment. The employee is expected to access, enter, and retrieve data by using a computer terminal. This position requires employee to stand for 8 hours. The position requires employee to drive a forklift. The position requires lifting parts up to 35 lbs unassisted. The employee must perform physical tasks involving bending, squatting and standing for extended periods of time, pushing, reaching and some lifting.
