Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Grower Manager to oversee our cultivation operations.

The Grower Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our growing facility, ensuring the successful growth and development of plants.

This position requires strong leadership skills, horticultural knowledge, and the ability to manage a team effectively.


Duties:

• Manage all aspects of plant cultivation, including planting, watering, fertilizing, and pruning
• Monitor plant health and identify any signs of disease or pests
• Implement irrigation systems and ensure proper watering techniques
• Utilize hand tools and equipment for gardening and maintenance tasks
• Collect data on plant growth and yield for analysis and reporting purposes
• Maintain a clean and organized growing environment
• Oversee the inventory of supplies and equipment needed for cultivation operations
• Train and supervise a team of growers to ensure productivity and adherence to quality standards
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production schedules and meet target goals
• Propagate and prepare plants for sales.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of horticulture practices, including plant nutrition, pest management, and disease control. Knowledge of rare varieties is a plus
• Basic math skills for measuring quantities of fertilizers and chemicals
• Experience with irrigation systems and water management
• Proficiency in using hand tools commonly used in gardening and landscaping
• Ability to collect and analyze data for decisionmaking purposes
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
• Previous experience in a farm or greenhouse setting preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed
• Be available onsite Monday through Friday.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and conduct independent research.
• Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Positive attitude and team player mentality
