    Job Description

    With 118 beds and more than 400 physicians on its medical staff, Pali Momi Medical Center offers a full range of services for the communities of Central and West O'ahu. The hospital has delivered many medical firsts for the community, including Central and West O'ahu's only interventional cardiac catheterization unit to detect and treat heart disease, a fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suite, a comprehensive women's center, CT scan and MRI services, and the state's first retina center. Pali Momi is the only facility in Hawai'i that uses a team triage approach in its emergency room, where patients are promptly evaluated by an emergency physician.

    The Guest Registration department provides high quality customer care to patients by facilitating efficient and helpful registration service. Our friendly staff provides assistance to external and internal customers by obtaining patient personal, financial and insurance information during the registration process and the completion of preliminary authorization for incoming patients to ensure a quality guest experience.

    If you are detail and team-oriented and believe in excellent customer service, you could uphold our quality customer care in patient registration and admissions at our hospitals and clinics. As the Senior Patient Registrar, you will coordinate the scheduling and efforts of the Patient Registrars with regard to patient admission. You will also coordinate bed assignments and the completion of preliminary authorization/verification; audit and report pre-registration, registration, quality management and admissions requirements. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational and management ability and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

    Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in Business or Health Care field related to patient admissions and/or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Two (2) years patient admissions or patient registration experience.

    Preferred Qualifications: Lead experience. Medical terminology experience.
