- Assist and learn how to tests and assemble valves by following manufacturers' assembly procedures, work orders or other customer specifications.
- Clean corrosive and other deposits from serviceable parts using solvents, wire brushes or sandblaster.
- Required to work at main facility as well as customer site to tear down, decontaminate, assemble, repair, and test equipment. Customer site work will at times, require inline valve work such as valve fitting, packing change, flange bolting tightening etc.
- Learn how to inspect, evaluate, and verify accuracy of assembled unit for conformance to standards and customer requirements.
- Learn and assist in repairing valves, actuators, and instrumentation in the Caltrol shop and customer sites.
- Drive stake bed to customer sites to pick up and deliver valves.
- Help keep up and maintain different shop equipment.
- Goal to learn with hands on experience to be able to safely work on repairing control/isolation valves.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Verbal and written skills to effectively communicate between departments and with customers.
- Ability to pass and keep up with OSCA Random drug screening and background checks for customers.
- Valid CA Drivers license and an excellent driving record.
- Ability to work weekends and overtime as required to meet customer needs.
- Ability to work independently or as a team member.
- Ability to send emails and process work orders using computer software.
- Ability to safely use and maintain a large variety of tools and equipment, associated with the assembly of valves and actuators, including impact wrenches, electric and manual hand tools, testing equipment, overhead cranes, and forklifts.

- Must be able to walk and stand 8 hours per day.

Hiring Range
The hiring range for this position is $ $27.00 p/hour . This is the pay scale range Caltrol reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience of the candidate along with the requirements of the position.
