Position summary:
Ensure the stable operation of in-house CAD (computer-aided design) software within the organization. This includes developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all CAD installations across the enterprise.

The CAD Manager will also analyze and resolve user CAD program issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user training where required.


Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated plans for CADD software administration and appropriate use
  • Assist with research on new and emerging CADD technologies or technologies that can be leveraged through existing CADD investments
  • Configure and initiate CADD software, related hardware, and any other corresponding CADD assets
  • Provide tier 2&3 oncall technical support for users
  • Assist with Develop and enforcement of CADD standards regarding layering, dimensioning, text annotations, BIM\CIM, and other aspects of CADD usage
  • Assist with training sessions and teaching materials for propagating CADD knowledge throughout the organization

Nonessential functions and responsibilities

  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Experience

  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Proficient in Bentley CADD products
  • MicroStation V8i\CE, OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Modeler\Designer, OpenSite Designer, Geopak V8i, Inroads V8i.
  • Proficient in Bentley ProjectWise
  • Knowledge of design and drafting procedures

Preferred Experience

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, computer science technology.
  • Programming Skills in C#, VBA, Python, PowerShell, REST.
  • ProjectWise Administration
  • MicroStation Workspace Development

  • MicroStation, OpenRoads, ProjectWise, OpenBridge

Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
