    What You Will Be Doing:

    Successfully completing a six-month entry level training program that involves in-person and supervised mentored work in the field.

    Terminating cabling in various field locations under mentorship.

    Low Voltage technicians will install new low voltage cabling for networks, telephone and surveillance systems. They will also install networking and computer hardware.

    Traveling will be required.

    Every site must meet NEC and base BICSI standards, including support every 4' where possible, velcro and management, clean service loops, clean racks, correct piping and level straight plates.

    Required Hard Skills

    Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds

    Knowledge of low voltage code (NEC)

    On the fly engineering of pathways, and routing cable in drop tile, hard ceiling, attics and crawl spaces in commercial facilities.

    Ability to safely operate a variety of power tools

    Ability to operate company vehicles and pull trailers

    Required Soft Skills

    Ability to be trained on our methods - we have specific ways things need to be done - procedures that must be followed (labeling, pulling, racks, documentation, schedules).

    Comfortable on ladders

    Ability to precisely follow directions

    Punctuality

    Keep a clean, trash free jobsite

    Ability to problem solve

    Communication with team members

    Ability to perform well in a fast-paced work environment

    Ability to follow established chains of command

    Ability to remain calm in stressful work situations

    Ability to take initiative

    Works well whether solo or as part of a team

    Clean driving record, and ability to pass background and drug screen

    Shows a desire to learn and improve skills throughout employment

    Ability to analyze processes and recommend improvements, where needed

    Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a prompt and efficient manner.
