Branch Manager
This role will manage and oversee branch personnel and operations, ensuring operational efficiency on a day-to-day basis.
The ideal candidate should be excited about building a great team and establishing a good rapport with new and existing clients in the area.
A successful candidate will value teamwork, transparency and accountability above all else.Primary Job Tasks & Responsibilities
Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the branch, ensuring operational efficiencies, including but not limited to:
Warehousing/Inventory
Control
Flooring installation
Purchasing
Customer service
Scheduling
Implement and ensure the integrity of operational standards and company policies
Perform regular job inspections to ensure efficiency, quality and safety
Meet or exceed set budgeted operating goals (P&L management)
Respond to and effectively manage customer complaints, ensuring exceptional customer service at all time
Work with team members, suppliers and customers to solve specific challenges and leverage growth opportunities
Anticipate staffing requirements to meet operational needs
Effectively onboard, train, inspire and motivate branch employees at all levels, improving retention
Ensure the safety of all employees, seeing that safety rules are followed, hazardous conditions are corrected, and equipment and vehicles are properly maintained
Ensure facility is maintained in a neat and professional manner
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred
10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in operations management
Track record of building a team and working in a team atmosphere
Experience in all facets of management operations
P&L management and collections experience
Highest commitment to customer service and satisfaction
Results driven, and customer focused
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proactively solves problems, developing solutions
Emotional maturity
Ability to be extremely effective independently
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrate the highest level of customer service
Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel, locally, 40 to 50%
Nature and Scope
This is an exempt, full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Overtime work may be required as job duties demand.
