Essential Functions:

• Request and review all incoming insurance documents for compliance with project requirements and, log insurance details for each project.
• Provide operational support to Project Team in reviewing subcontractor insurance documentation and corresponding with the insurance industry to bring insurance into compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepare construction business subcontractor agreements.
• Undertake an initial contract review and negotiate standard contract provisions.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses as may be required internally, by prime and subcontractors, and/or by clients.
• General understanding of general liability, excess liability, workers' compensation, professional liability, pollution liability, builders' risk, property, and equipment policies and the insurance coverages contained in these policies; ability to independently review the same.
• Review and analyze prime and subcontractors' certifications of insurance for compliance with subcontract agreement and authorize access to job sites.
• Follow up with subcontractors and agents regarding new, expired, and noncompliant insurance.
• Manage brokers and thirdparty professionals responsible for purchasing and negotiating insurance policies as well as closing out carrier audits.
• Maintaining a fundamental and thorough understanding of the claims process most importantly with respect to reserves and the development of claims
• Understanding all aspects of the surety program including pricing for bids.
• Working with internal crossfunctional teams to setup required insurance coverage.
• Understanding direct, indirect, consequential, and liquidated damages with respect to available insurance.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant insurance experience as an insurance manager, underwriter, broker or claims manager
• 2+ years of experience in reviewing construction insurance requirements.
• 2+ years of legal or paralegal experience is a plus but not required
• 4 year college degree is required
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Excel, Word, Team, Power point
• Experience working in construction, engineering, or insurance is strongly preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to maintain confidential information.
• Good organization skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously

Pay:
$100, $110,000.00 per year
