    We are seeking both part and full-time Lead Teachers for our 2024–25 school year.

    Smith Street Maternelle is a progressive French-American preschool program located in Brooklyn, NY. Our bilingual curriculum emphasizes a Reggio-Emilia inspired, holistic approach to education. The importance of a child's intellectual and creative life—of thought, curiosity, exploration, multilingualism, and artistic expression—infuses everything we do across all aspects of our curriculum. At Smith Street Maternelle, we care deeply about creativity, inquiry, and multiculturalism. We are seeking full time French-speaking Associate Teachers for the 2024/25 academic year.     Responsibilities:

    • Refining and implementing developmentally appropriate curricula
    • Preparing lessons & activities in collaboration with associate teacher(s)
    • Communicating with parents (3x yearly conference reports; 2x yearly parent/teacher conferences)
    • Supervising associate teacher(s)
    • Other duties as assigned Full Time Hours: 8:00am–4:00pm, Mon – Fri Employment Start Date: August 21, 2024 Employment End Date: Yearly commitment Salary Range: $ 64,272 - $ 70,408. Commensurate with years of experience and educational degrees Matching 401K plan with Fidelity Investments Vacation: 15 weeks paid vacation (as per the 2023 – 24 school calendar) Health Benefits: Employer pays 50% of health, dental, and vision coverage.
