    Job Description Qualifications:

    Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager (Level M) to join the Metals Center of Excellence team in Hazelwood, MO.This is an opportunity to manage employees and perform activities within multiple Metals related manufacturing disciplines.

    As the leader of the Metals Center of Excellence (MCOE) in St.

    Louis you would develop and execute integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives.

    The MCOE is a capital intense business where the leader will need to acquire resources for organizational activities, champions the One BPS deployment and leads process improvements.

    Additionally, the MCOE leader develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers from multiple programs, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.

    Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. Manages, develops, and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

    Position Responsibilities:
    Manage a large, high volume manufacturing organization supporting BDS, BGS, and BCA customers. Build and maintain effective customer relationships.
    Effectively plan what is to be achieved and involve all relevant stakeholders. Anticipate important or critical events, identifying resource requirements and assigning responsibility for specific work, including deadlines and performance expectations.

    Obtains information and identifies key issues and relationships relevant to achieving a long-range goal or vision; commits to a course of action to accomplish a long-range goal or vision after developing alternatives based on logical assumptions, facts, available resources, constraints, and organizational values.

    Demonstrates a commitment to the mission and motivation to combine the team's energy and expertise to achieve a common objective.

    Understands the dynamics of effective teamwork in order to attain higher levels of performance.

    Maintains effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusts effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, and/or cultures.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
    This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training and work experience5+ years working or supporting a manufacturing environment3+ years in a management/supervisory rolePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience in a Fabrication manufacturing environmentBDS Operations experienceChange leadership experience within a manufacturing environmentLean, BPS, or process improvement experience
