Janitor

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, servicing and cleaning a facility while using proper methods and materials in caring for building areas.

Experience
Previous experience in a similar capacity is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Ability to use basic shop and cleaning equipment is preferred.

Essential Duties

Services, cleans and supplies restrooms.
Gathers and empties trash.
Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and/or vacuuming.
Cleans windows, glass partitions and mirrors using water or other cleaners.
Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Strips, sealfinishes and polishes floors.
Monitors building security and safety by performing tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliances for hazards.
May assist maintenance personnel with tasks as assigned.

Work Environment
Consists of both an air conditioned office environment and a plant environment.

Physical Demands
Majority of the time will be standing. Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, and reach with body, arms and legs. Must be able to grasp, manipulate and assemble objects. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. In addition, must be able to push, pull or carry objects. Must be able to see at close range and able to perform repetitive hand/arm motions.

Pay:
$15.00 per hour
