    Description


    As our new Civil Engineer, you will be part of a highly skilled and experienced team of building design professionals who execute interesting and diverse projects in the municipal, industrial, institutional, and commercial sectors.

    Our team is at the forefront of helping clients achieve their built environment goals emphasizing sustainability concepts.

    You will have opportunities to collaborate with design and construction professionals in organizations in the Americas and globally including Environment & Health, Water, and Energy.

    The Civil Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of site civil, site development, stormwater management, grading, parking building arrangements, and underground utilities for our clients in heavy industrial, manufacturing, and chemical plant environments.


    Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
    Manage and oversee site civil, site development, stormwater management, grading, parking building arrangements, and underground utilities for heavy industrial, manufacturing, and chemical plant projects
    Develop and review construction plans, specifications, and estimates
    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff
    Develop and maintain client relationships and ensure project success
    Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards

    Analyzesurvey reports, maps, drawings, aerial photographs, geotechnical data and other information to plan projects of all levels ofcomplexity and create design deliverables.

    Review vendor drawings/submittals to confirm compliance with Contract Documents.
    Collaborate with other disciplines and project teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget
    Visit job sites to collect information and provide field support as necessary
    Actively participate in creating a safety culture in the office and in the field.
    Consistently utilize sound judgement and discretion in performance of job functions.

    Adhere to the policies and standards set forth in the firm's quality management system, including drafting standards and specific client or industry standards.

    For this role, we believe your starting point is:

    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
    Minimum of 10 years of experience in site civil, site development, stormwater management, grading, parking building arrangements, and underground utilities in heavy industrial, manufacturing, and chemical plant environments
    Professional Engineering (PE) license required
    Strong technical knowledge and experience in relevant software and design tools
    Proficient in MicroStation – Preferred
    Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D – Required.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
