Lumber Yard - Forklift
The lumber yard - forklift operators work outdoors loading and unloading rail cars and flatbed trailers.

This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, able to lead with mínimal direction, adaptable to changes as they arise, and who enjoy working outdoors year-round.

The lumber yard - forklift operator reports directly to the site supervisor and is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

Hours of operation

:

Monday - Friday, 7 am - 5 pm

Starting Pay Range is $17 $18/ Based on experience

Primary Job Duties Include:

Load and unload rail cars and flatbed trucks
Move and stack materials
Unload steel beams from Gondolas
Receive and process shipments
General housekeeping duties in production areas
Comply with and adhere to all safety policies and regulations
Perform proper forklift inspections and adhere to all forklift operating guidelines and procedures
Utilization of fall protection system when working with rail cars

Requirements:

Experience and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
Must be 18 years of age or older
2 years' Lumber Yard Experience
2 years' Large Forklift (10k or higher) Experience
Rail car Experience a plus
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
Must be able to walk, bend, lift, and stand throughout the duration of the shift
Must be flexible with working in multiple site locations
