Job Summary:
The role of the Certified Pharmacy Technician involves various responsibilities, such as preparing pharmaceuticals, managing inventory, ensuring compliance, assisting with financial transactions, offering customer service, and maintaining pharmacy records. As a key member of the patient care team, this position operates under the direction of the Pharmacist.
Essential Functions:
Education:
High School Degree or GED
Licensure/Certification:
Valid ExCPT Certification from the National Health Career Association or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), along with registration with the State Board of Pharmacy (mandatory)
Experience:
Prior experience in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion Pharmacy (preferred)
