Description
Job TitleRN / Registered NurseLocated about 60 miles southwest of Toledo in Defiance, Ohio, our facility was constructed in 2002 and designed to promote a healing environment.
It also has state-of-the-art technology and private rooms that feel like a home away from home.Being a community-based hospital, we also have a professional office building where you'll find many primary and specialty doctors. In addition, we're a critical-access hospital and accredited by the Joint Commission, the industry leader in setting healthcare standards. We're also an accredited Chest Pain Center and Level III trauma center.
Position Summary:
The Patient Care Supervisor for the Obstetrics unit, through role modeling, coaching and facilitation, will coordinate high quality, effective patient care, while assisting staff to maintain clinical practice, professional, and critical thinking behaviors.
Coordinate all patient care activities, fostering departmental standards of care and positive patient outcomesManages shift operations related to patient flow, staff assignments, bed control, and rounding with care team members to facilitate meeting patient care needsLeads the team in meeting service needs of patients and their families to provide positive patient experience Serves as the clinical expert for technical and professional standards of care to ensure high quality of careProvides preceptorship, coaching, and/or identifies learning needs with action plans for employees to foster a positive team environment and competent professionalsJob RequirementsBSN required or must be obtained within 3 year time frame.
Must be a graduate of an accredited school or nursing.Must have RN license in the state of OhioBLS, ACLS requiredMust have a minimum of two (2) years in nursing in a patient care area; preferably in Women's Services Problem-solving, organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe above list of accountabilities is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by the positions; it should not be considered exhaustive.
