The School of Business at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites outstanding applicants for adjunct faculty positions in business disciplines. The School is interested in further developing a pool of highly qualified adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate courses in introductory-level accounting, business law, finance, economics, management, information systems & technology, and marketing. Please note: teaching needs vary by semester and applicants will be contacted accordingly.

Responsibilities of Business Adjunct Faculty include:

Promoting the mission and vision of the TCNJ School of Business.

Providing engaging, enthusiastic, and student-centered teaching to undergraduates.

Establishing a professional classroom atmosphere that encourages mutual respect and civil engagement.

Understanding and conveying the essentials of the course discipline through effective pedagogies that undergraduate students can master.

Maintaining high academic standards, while demonstrating equality and fairness in an undergraduate-focused environment.

Working successfully and productively in a team environment.

Performing the necessary duties of an adjunct instructor to ensure high-quality instruction.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have an earned master's degree in Business or an area related to their teaching discipline.

Upon request, candidates must be able to provide proof of success in a teaching or training capacity.

Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received, and interviews will be held relative to teaching needs.

About the TCNJ School of Business

The TCNJ School of Business is one of seven academic schools within TCNJ. As an AACSB-accredited business school, the faculty is committed to the education of undergraduates through excellence in teaching, active research, and scholarly activity. Degrees are offered in Accounting, Economics, and Business Administration, with specialties in Management, Marketing, Finance, and Interdisciplinary Business. The School is committed to a diverse and inclusive educational environment among the faculty, staff, and students. The current class size is approximately 27 students, and in addition to serving business majors, many courses provide instruction to various minors and majors in other disciplines.
