    Job Title: Optical Engineer III

    Location: Denver, CO – On-site

    Job Description:

    We are seeking an Optical Engineer III to join our team in Denver, CO. This is a 100% onsite position with parking expenses covered. The ideal candidate will operate the system as a network engineer and handle various logistical aspects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and manage the network, promptly reacting to any issues that arise.
    • Utilize proprietary tools and automated systems to receive and respond to network information.
    • Diagnose problems and restore the network to a healthy state, addressing issues such as fiber cuts and carb replacements.
    • Manage tickets, prioritizing from highest to lowest based on urgency.
    • Maintain a customer-focused approach and demonstrate a strong drive to resolve issues efficiently.
    • Operate the network, balancing deployment and provisioning tasks effectively.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC), with a strong background in troubleshooting and quick resolution.
    • Understanding of DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) platforms, with a solid grasp of the associated theories, regardless of the specific platform.
    • Open to junior-level candidates who exhibit strong potential and drive.

    Skills and Attributes:

    • Proficiency in monitoring network systems and responding to alerts from automated tools.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and fix network issues.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tickets and tasks.
    • Excellent customer service skills and a proactive approach to network management.
    • A balance between technical deployment skills and operational provisioning experience.
