    Job Title: Recovery Coach at [Company Name]


    Position Summary:
    • The Recovery Coach supports individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD) during and after their time in incarceration, guiding them towards a drug-free life post-release.
    • Empowers clients on their recovery journey by offering hope, advocacy, guidance, motivation, and knowledge.

    Responsibilities:
    • Identify and enroll participants in the program.
    • Assist with aftercare coordination, including housing and recovery services.
    • Schedule community provider appointments.
    • Provide medication education to inmates.
    • Monitor former inmates in the community and ensure program success.
    • Collaborate with correctional staff and caseworkers.
    • Support inmates in accessing treatment services during and after incarceration.
    • Coordinate aftercare initiatives for substance abuse issues.
    • Develop relations with relevant agencies for inmates' community re-entry needs.
    • Participate in re-entry meetings and Sheriff's Office Human Service team.
    • Work on reducing drug use rates and adverse outcomes for justice-involved individuals.

    Job Competencies:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Organized with attention to detail.
    • Ability to follow agency policies and procedures.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Can prioritize and problem solve in high-pressure environments.
    • Exercise discretion, good judgment, and handle confidential information.
    • Understand Corrections terminology and procedures.

    Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalency certificate required.
    • LADC/CADC or Recovery Coach Certificate required.
    • Minimum of 3 years working in recovery-oriented/metal health programs.
    • Minimum of 1 year working in a correctional facility preferred.
    • Massachusetts driver's license required.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
    • Walking short distances throughout the facility.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

    Work Environment:

    This role involves working within the Barnstable County Correctional Facility and with currently incarcerated individuals.
