Position Summary

The
Outreach and Enrollment Specialist is responsible for the oversight of enrollment and in-reach activities related to the timely access of care for all patients assigned to Wilmington Community Clinic.

The
Outreach and Enrollment Specialist oversees the effective enrollment of new patients into coverage plans, when appropriate.

This position also oversees the outreach to new business geographies and outreach to new communities to increase clinic enrollment and assignments.


Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this full-time position is $20 per hour.

Essential Position Responsibilities:


  • Review monthly enrollment reports and assign staff to ensure that all newly assigned patients are given an opportunity to receive timely care at Wilmington Community Clinic.
  • Review disenrollment reports and assign staff for outreach and enrollment efforts to maintain eligible patient's coverage through various plans and programs.
  • Helps establish productivity goals and works to ensure that staff meets productivity goals each month.
  • Oversees enrollment worker scheduling. Works directly to lead enrollment staff. Ensures scheduling and productivity is maximized.
  • Works with appointment staff to ensure that appointment slots are available for patients requiring enrollment services.
  • Participates in enrollment, inreach and outreach activities directly maintaining a schedule for patients and events as needed.
  • Works as a member of the Operations Team to coordinate performance goals, patient experience and clinical quality.
  • Prepares regular reports to demonstrate outreach strategies and goals, enrollment status and department productivity.
  • Completes regular reports for federal, state and local funders pursuant to enrollment activities.
  • Demonstrate understanding of WCC policies and procedures.
  • Interacts with patients, physicians, staff, vendors, and visitors in ways that demonstrate caring and reflect the WCC mission and philosophy.
  • Attends WCC meetings as required

Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Two years clinic experience required.
  • One year experience in a nonprofit clinic/community service setting preferred.
  • Sales Experience
  • Supervisory/Lead experience preferred

Skills:


  • Knowledge of community clinic operation.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance programs and requirements.
  • Must be able to learn quickly, in a fast paced environment.
  • Must possess interpersonal skills to interact diplomatically with staff and difficult clients.
  • Extensive customer care management background and understanding of the dynamics in delivering high quality patient services in a changing environment
  • Must be able to work with a very diverse group of patients in a nonjudgmental manner.
  • Must possess strong verbal and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
