    Our busy personal injury and criminal defense law firm is growing, and we are looking for talent who works hard to represent our clients well. The prime candidate will work seamlessly with our attorneys as well as administrative staff and paralegals to effectively serve our clients. If you have excellent research, writing, and trial skills, can easily use today's technology, and communicate effectively across all levels of court, including trials, we would love to connect We offer competitive benefits, PTO, and send our attorneys to the best CLEs to maximize our talent.

    Compensation:

    $102,000 - $130,000 yearly

    Responsibilities:
    • Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
    • Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action
    • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
    • Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects
    Qualifications:
    • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
    • Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis)
    • Able to work independently while handling multiple files
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed
    • Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred

    Admitted to the Bar in 1991, Timothy Bussey is an experienced criminal and civil trial lawyer who has been a prosecutor, defense attorney, Active Duty Judge Advocate with the US Air Force, and a District Attorney in El Paso and Teller County. His knowledge of criminal law can help you through the often confusing process of being charged and arrested with felonies, drug crimes, and misdemeanors on or off military bases. Timothy Bussey's experience as an Active Duty Judge Advocate also has allowed him to provide skilled criminal defense to defendants charged on military bases, including Fort Carson, Peterson, Cheyenne Mountain, Schriever Air Force Bases, as well as the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA).
