- Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care
- Alleviating suffering through nursing interventions and prescribed treatments
- Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
- Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care
- Educating patient on their disease process
- Assuring continuity of care
- Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
- Certification in area of clinical specialty
- BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.

Description
*_SUMMARY_*We are currently seeking a *Staff Nurse* to join our Inpatient Float Pool unit.This position is a 0.8 FTE (8 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour shifts, Nights, Every Other Weekend.
This specific opening is to primarily support the*Med/Surg/Tele/Pediatrics/OB/NICU Inpatient Float Pool Team*however this position may be floated to other units based on staffing needs and RN training.
The team will float to medicine, orthopedic, surgical/trauma/neuro, cardiac/renal, medical and surgical intermediate care, observation, rehab, Pediatrics, OB/GYN and NICU units.
Minimum Qualifications:
* 6 months of current professional nursing (RN) experience
