What is the Role of the Behavior Technician (RBT)? As a behavior therapist/technician, you will use the techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to work 1:1 with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Your direct influence will help them learn critical skills such as language development, play and social interactions, self-help routines, school readiness and so much more


What Cornerstone offers you in role of Behavior Technician (RBT): Paid, in-house training your first two weeks of employment. No online courses to complete on your own. You get top-notch in-person training from experienced BCBAs, including valuable shadow time with current staff. We pay for all costs associated with achieving your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. Our staff instructors will also train you in crisis management techniques and help you achieve your Professional Crisis Management (PCM) certification.

  • Function as an active member of the treatment team, working with other behavior technicians, Behavior Analysts, and the family to implement the client's treatment plan
  • Teach clients language, academic, social, and selfhelp skills and have fun doing so
  • Take direction from others and receive constructive feedback positively
  • Complete data collection and session notes in a detailed, accurate and timely manner
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Actively participate in staff training programs designed to increase overall skills
  • Communicate in a professional manner with parents, BCBAs, trainers, other therapists
  • Maintain confidentiality about clients, families, and center by abiding by all HIPPA regulations
  • Celebrate successes—both big and small—and continually move your clients forward
