- Develop and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and difficult system design requirements and problems

- Support development of technical proposals and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work
- Act as a company/industry expert resource on the most complex engineering problems
- Maintain technical project responsibility for assigned tasks and advise management of progress in support of the technical and administrative direction of project operations
- Conduct site visits and experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations
- Develop, interpret, and implement technical and administrative operating policies and procedures

- Well-established, substantial, professional reputation in one or more of the principal technical disciplines of the company
- Experience with the design, development, integration, test and operations of test range instrumentation equipment such as telemetry, mission control rooms, communication systems, control room displays and data transport systems and networks.
- Demonstrated ability to direct senior technical personnel in project assignments involving research, development, integration, and sustainment of complex systems or processes
- Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools
- Superior communications skills, both verbal and written, in day-to-day project activities as well as in briefing customers and in writing reports and proposals
- Planning/organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines.
- Must possess a valid, state issued driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen. The expected salary range for this position is $150 to $190K annually.

Description
JT4 is hiring a Chief Engineer for the China Lake Range. The position will be located at NAWCWD's China Lake Range, in Ridgecrest, CA.
The Chief Engineer is responsible for managing the technical direction and execution of all aspects of engineering on a program including design, development, implementation, integration, testing, and delivery of product to the DoD customer. The Chief Engineer is the technical leader for the program engineering team and serves as technical advisor to the program manager. The Chief Engineer is typically the primary technical point-of-contact to the customer. The Chief Engineer coordinates across the program's Systems Engineering team and other engineering teams. The Chief Engineer ensures that all engineering teams adhere to sound engineering processes, in accordance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
Employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties:
A Bachelor of Science in engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and 14 years of related engineering experience, or an accredited Master of Science in engineering and a minimum of 10 years of related engineering experience, or an accredited doctorate degree in engineering and a minimum of 8 years of related engineering experience are required for this position.
In addition, an Engineer V must possess the following qualifications:
