Function:

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for organizing effective programs, overseeing activities and details, and measuring overall success at the Caridad Community Kitchen (CCK) for the Community Food Bank (CFB).

They will work collaboratively with the Outreach Coordinator and management team to create volunteer and student programs that will promote a positive participant experience.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Collaborates with Outreach Coordinator to ensure scheduling and orientation of volunteers.
  • Works with Chef of Culinary Training for the recruitment and orientations of potential students for the Culinary Training program.
  • Works effectively with program team to ensure program goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Organizes and oversees community events, workshops, and activities, coordinating logistics, managing resources, and ensuring a positive participant experience.
  • Supports program growth and development as necessary.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to maximize resources and create a synergistic approach to community programs.
  • Facilitates the implementation of all marketing related to the CCK Programs.
  • Facilitates positive relations between the program team, the public, and other departments within the organization, and all other involved parties.
  • Manages and coordinates program records, reports, and data for recordkeeping, invoicing and other statistical information to include input of monthly inventory data into a software system.
  • Coordinates meeting preparation, logistics and communications with participants and staff.
  • Oversees CCK meal service, harm reduction and personal care programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Knowledge of organizing and overseeing program events, workshops and activities.
  • Skills in data entry into a software program to include maintaining accurate records.
  • Skills in developing positive relationships with team and all parties involved.
  • Ability to collaborate as a team member, work independently, and be selfmotivated.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and listening skills.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse economic, social, and political backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of experience in a fastpaced, complex work environment demonstrating organizational and followthrough skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, and aptitude to learn other software platforms.
  • For company insurance purposes, at least 21 years of age; possess a current Arizona Driver's License with a safe driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Two (2) years of experience in a fastpaced, complex work environment demonstrating organizational and followthrough skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Physical Requirements:


  • Medium Work ability to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
