Monday-Friday core business hours.
Position Overview:
This position will manage a broad scope of external and internal communications responsibilities that include but are not limited to media relations, social media, website content, community philanthropy and event support to employee communications, newsletters and presentations
Key Accountabilities
Write website and intranet content:
- Researching, drafting and completing stories and press releases about employee, member and stakeholder activity and other relevant topics as assigned
- Identifying opportunities for and completing new content
- Populating content for communications team
- Ensuring accuracy and currency of content
Support execution of annual philanthropy program:
- Supporting execution of philanthropy program
- Identifying, fulfilling and tracking sponsorship branding opportunities
- Coordinating and establishing cross functional opportunities for PR, community relations, sustainability activities and other events to maximize reach and effectiveness of program
- Developing opportunities to extend program reach
- Reporting on and potentially attending events as needed
Support digital information boards and social media:
- Creating messaging and visuals for info boards and social media
- Collaborating with all other team members to execute annual social media strategy and ensuring timely posts
- Monitoring posts and conversations
Advertising and marketing:
- Developing print and digital advertising and marketing materials
- Ensuring effectiveness by verifying placements of advertisements/marketing, including philanthropyrelated items
- Coordinating with external providers as needed
Events:
- Developing presentations, identifying and coordinating logistics and managing events onsite as needed to execute events
Team process and organization:
- Documenting and/or updating and maintaining processes, procedures and calendar for team
- Maintaining filing and reporting system
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field
- Expertise in Microsoft Office and Adobe suites, WordPress and design skills to support visual communications needs for social media and presentations.
