Our client, a leading energy company, provides reliable electricity to approximately 18,000 customers in the Montevallo, AL area. In 2011, a subsidiary was established to supply fair, locally sourced green energy and suitable electricity rates. Since spring 2013, the administrative and technical departments have been located under one roof.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently prepare and create annual financial statements according to HGB (German Commercial Code)
  • Responsible for managing fixed asset accounting
  • Prepare data for VAT returns
  • Contact person for auditors and tax advisors
  • Participation in special projects

Qualifications:

  • Completed commercial training, preferably with additional training as a certified accountant/tax specialist or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant work experience in financial accounting
  • Additional qualification as a certified accountant is ideal
  • Indepth knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB)
  • Structured and meticulous work style
  • Teamwork and strong communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
