THE JOB:

The Facilities Manager, guided by the Director of Facilities, is responsible for supervising the department's operations.

Their duties include managing the building's maintenance and operations, overseeing all related trades, and directing the engineering department's staff to ensure that all tasks are scheduled, assigned, and completed efficiently.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:


  • Implement the department strategy in alignment with the strategic plan, fiscal budget, and the company's shortterm and longterm profitability goals.
  • Directly oversee all engineering activities and maintenance personnel, including providing performance feedback, setting work priorities and goals, scheduling, hiring, training, promotions, and fostering employee engagement.
  • Manage the delivery and assessment of guest services to ensure they meet the company's service standards and brand attributes.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and federal health, safety, and building codes, and maintain accurate records of department activities and documents.
  • Continuously monitor utility costs and consumption and maintain necessary logs for all utilities.
  • Utilize programs to maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures, and oversee preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repairs/replacement of equipment.
  • Provide input on and manage inventory levels and all purchases for parts, tools, equipment, and machinery according to property standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:


  • Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Has prior hospitality experience as a Facilities Manager or equivalent
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or 2+ years of prior equivalent experience as a Facilities Manager
  • Extensive background knowledge and experience in all facets of facilities operations and maintenance
  • Knowledgeable in repair and preventative maintenance of facilities equipment
  • Selfmotivated with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under time constraints and meet established deadlines
  • Capable of multitasking various activities and duties
  • Proficient in leading and mentoring a team
  • Must be flexible and committed
  • Can work varied shifts to include weeks and holidays
