Job DescriptionPosition Summary:
The Senior Estimator provides accurate estimates and proposals to help the company achieve higher sales revenue.
Position Responsibilities:
Work within a team concept with all project team members to achieve project goals.
Accurately account for all labor, material, quotes and general expenses for any given project.
Take responsibility for a complete takeoff that starts at receiving the RFP/ITB through the estimating lifecycle to final review by executive leadership.
Attendance at build assist/build design meetings and effectively working with owners, engineers, architects, etc to accomplish team goals.
Attending/leading internal project turnover meetings with Operations including: detail review of project/contract scope, takeoff details, team strategy to complete at estimated margin.
architectural/mechanical/plumbing/structural/landscaping/civil/etc.
drawings with the electrical scope, all addendums, RFIs, emails, construction schedule and management directives into the electrical estimate and scope proposal.
Communicate in an open, honest and candid manner with the management team to assure effective resolutions
Additional duties, as required
Desired Qualifications / Experience:
5+ technical competence in commercial electrical estimating
Experience with Accubid Enterprise, Accubid Live Count.
Technical competence in commercial electrical installation means and methods.
Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite Software.
Experience with
reading/interpreting
drawings, schedules, specifications, RFP's and contracts.
Good communication and organization skills.
Ability to deal with diverse people and personalities at all levels.
Ability to multitask in stressful and adverse conditions and work on multiple projects.
