For our strategic procurement, we are looking for you as a Project Buyer (m/f/d) in Cassville, PA.

Your responsibilities:

  • Coordination of projects in the product development process (PEP)
  • Generation and implementation of efficient business partnerships
  • Ensuring material supply for PEP projects (prototypes, preseries, and zero series)
  • Price negotiations and contract management
  • Active procurement management in coordination with strategic procurement and category management
  • Optimization of procurement processes
  • Design and implementation of cost reduction measures, as well as benchmarking
  • Observation and analysis of international procurement markets
  • Conducting supplier visits

Your profile:

  • Completed degree in a technical field, alternatively commercial/technical vocational training with additional qualifications
  • Several years of experience in project procurement in a mechanical engineering company (preferably agricultural and forestry machinery, construction machinery, or commercial vehicles)
  • Experience with metal/steel parts and related processes and technologies
  • Analytical skills and understanding of longterm planning
  • Confident appearance and strong assertiveness
  • Teamwork and communication skills
