Description

We are looking for a well organized, enthusiastic front desk receptionist in a medium volume Chiropractic office to manage our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

As a experienced receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our office. You should be able to manage multiple people/tasks in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking, management skills, compassion and a desire to help others are essential for this position. Medical knowledge a plus but not necessary. Hours are Monday thru Friday 9-6:30 with half days on Thursday's.


Responsibilities:


  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments
  • Answer and forward incoming phone calls
  • Perform data entry
  • Collect copays and payments
  • Take patient demographics and insurance information
  • Assist visitors in filling out forms if necessary
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and insurance information.
  • Obtain external medical reports
  • Schedule tests, scans for patients
  • Help ensure that patients and visitors are educated on the clinical procedures and policies
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Keep inventory of stock weekly
  • Maintain and manage patient records
  • Send out medical records within the required time frame

Requirements:


  • 1+ years experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Working knowledge of healthcare insurance
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and diagnosis
  • Handson experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Multitasking and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • Understand HIPAA and OSHA Regulations
  • High School Diploma required: Medical Certification (e.g. PMA, CMA, RMA, RN exc...) preferred

Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34 per week
