Description
Knowledge of computer software, hardware and firmware relative to servers, personal computers, local area network/wide area network environments.Knowledge of VMware vSphere and Horizon infrastructure, vital servers and machines.
- Serve as first point of contact for IT support within the organization
- Skilled at installing and testing computer hardware.
- Ability to perform network backups and coordinate disaster recovery efforts.
- Ability to plan, organize and track projects.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues and repair or replace damaged computer and network components.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, along with the ability to remain flexible.
- Ability to read, understand and comply with the department's policies, procedures, guidelines and practices relating to network and security standards.
- Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation for supported systems.
- Provide excellent customer service and support employees whenever they encounter issues with computers and network devices
- Maintaining and update computer and network equipment in order to track warranty, upgrades and replacement devices
- Help ensure all applicable employees are issued the correct and/or standard computer equipment in a timely manner
- Basic knowledge of phone systems.
