POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an integral part of the team, the Senior AR Administrator is responsible for reviewing, partnering with sales and approving orders that are on hold; issue resolution on credit memos and other factors impacting the customer's ability to pay; leading the company's collections efforts; and cash posting and deposits.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluate credit limit needs based on order hold patterns and partner with GS Goods Foods Credit expert to establish new credit limits
Ensuring collections are timely per the customer payments
Ensuring collections efforts, in partnership with sales and business leaders, on past due invoices are timely and handled in a professional manner
Communicating with sales or customers with discrepancies on invoicing
Interacting with sales team on short paid items
Create and document standard operating procedures for AR processes
Being able to make sound business decisions on customer behavior considering transaction patterns, suspicious changes in customers purchasing habits, historical issues, etc.
Updating the system in accordance with Credit decision
Work closely with the sales team to form a solid business relationship.
In person meeting with sales team to go over AR issues for resolution

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Ability to work under pressure: They must be able to make calculated and rational decisions even under high pressure situations.
Strong analytical and statistical skills
Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e., pivot tables & vlookups)
Handson experience with accounting and ERP software (Microsoft Navision / Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to demonstrate advanced analytic skills, including excellent mathematical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with multiple levels and multiple departments within an organization.
Available to work closely with inside sales, being the primary point of contact to communicate invoicing issues
Interact with sales/credit customers, prospects, and internal team members
Serve as consultant & main credit contact in the local office
Ability to work independently and with a team

EDUCATION/EXPIRENCE:

5+ years' experience in collections, credit assessment and other accounts receivable processes
Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business (preferred)
Financial analysis skills and knowledge of advanced accounting concepts
Sound knowledge of Finance and Credit Management

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position will be in an office setting at a desk equipped with computer, monitors, phone, and other applicable resources/equipment.

It will be required to routinely sit at a desk and walk short distance through office space, primarily on a level surface for periods of time throughout the day.

COMPENSATION:

$25-$27 per hour depending on experience
