    Our client, a national provider of construction, manufacturing and engineering services is seeking an experienced and highly enthusiastic

    R & D Engineer

    to join their team, located in suburban

    St. Louis, MO.


    The chosen candidate will perform detailed engineering studies in support of product development, project execution, Warranty group and Aftermarket efforts.

    S/He will

    formally be responsible for providing input into policies associated with the job's purpose and essential responsibilities.


    The ideal candidate should possess experience developing the proper method to formulate solutions to Research & Development and New Product Development tasks.

    This includes selection of the proper tools and engineering data required to complete the analysis.
    Responsibilities

    Actively participate in both independent and group R&D studies.

    Provide strong technical support with a focus on process design, hydrodynamic, thermodynamic, and heat transfer areas.

    Plan, develop and perform complex experiments to advance N/E's knowledge base and market competitiveness.

    Generate RELAP5 and CFD models in support of NPD/R&D efforts.

    Qualifications

    BSME, BSAE or BSChE minimum (MS or higher desirable)

    5+ years of experience with a focus on process, design, operations, base research, and computational methods.

    Experience in the areas of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and process design

    Highly skilled in applying process design methods, tools, and theory is required.

    Experience in using CFD/FEA tools (ANSYS Fluent or Equivalent) and/or thermal modeling software.

    Must possess a high degree of critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

    Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals.

    Strong laboratory skill set is essential in this role.

    Self-motivated and self-reliant


    Must be knowledgeable in calculation methods regarding thermodynamic and hydrodynamic processes and understand their applications regarding operation and design of company products.

    Strong communications skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) are essential in this role.

    Good analytical thinking ability and problem resolution skills.
