    Description

    Title:
    Transmission/Distribution Design Engineering/ Project Manager

    Duration:
    Permanent Hire

    Location:
    Charlotte or Raleigh, NC, or Atlanta, GA

    Salary:
    $115,000-$165,000


    Skills and Experience:
    Candidates coming from a consulting background

    Transmission and Distribution Standards:
    Familiarity with industry-accepted practices and standards related to transmission and/or distribution systems of natural gas or Wastewater or Sewer.

    Client Relationship Building:
    Ability to actively develop and maintain strong client relationships.

    Infrastructure Expertise:
    Background in planning, designing, engineering, and constructing natural gas or hazardous liquids systems,

    Financial Management:
    Understanding of project financial management.

    Experience:
    A minimum of

    7 years

    of relevant experience.

    Education and Certification:
    Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering

    (Required)

    Plusses:
    Professional Engineer (PE)

    certification
    HDD experience


    Day to day:
    We are seeking a detail-oriented

    Transmission/Distribution Design Engineering / Project Manager

    to join our clients southeast engineering team.

    With expanding opportunities in the region and a diverse range of clients, this role offers exciting challenges and the chance to make a significant impact.


    Design :
    Reviewing, editing, and analyzing drawings from the draft team. These drawings will be in

    AutoCAD Civil 3D , and experience with

    Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD)

    is a plus.

    The candidate will manage the design work and ensure a robust proposal is developed in terms of budgets and schedules.


    Project Management :
    Creating the budget, scope, and schedule on the design side of things, with support of the project during construction for design adjustments

    Business Development :
    Sourcing new clients or expanding existing client relationships.

    Project Types:
    Linear Utility
    Design :
    Projects like

    relocation projects

    (where roadways are being moved, and natural gas pipelines need to be adjusted).
