Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assess a design brief and determine design requirements, reading blueprints and P&ID schematics as necessary.
2. Create multiple iterations of design prototypes using computer-aided design tools for end customer, ensuring all industry regulations are met.
3. Communicate and coordinate project status as requested by customer and supervisor.
4. Conduct rigorous usability tests and modify the product based on the test results.
5. Assist and/or lead the manufacturing process for all approved design projects, providing details regarding time and scope of implementation.
6. Oversee the installation of all coating equipment and related systems (power supplies, chillers, ventilation, electrolyte preparation, wastewater disposal/treatment).
7. Provide ongoing equipment and process start up, debugging and optimization assistance.
8. Manage and support cost and timing information, identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
9. Responsible for documenting all blueprints, engineering plans, designs, and records.
10. Complete other projects as assigned by your direct supervisor.
11. Follow all AS9100, internal quality policies, OSHA safety regulations, and company safety policies.

Job Requirements:

1. Must have U.S. citizenship. Sponsorship is not provided with this position.
2. Must have a bachelors degree in engineering or engineering technology. A background in Materials Science is preferred, but not required.
3. Must have a minimum of five years of professional engineering experience.
4. Must have a minimum of five years of experience with CAD design work using Solidworks or other similar software.
5. Must have demonstrated leadership experience and excellent communication skills.
6. Must be able to work independently and in a team setting.
7. Must possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a creative approach for generating new ideas.
8. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, specifically Microsoft Project.
9. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
10. All employment at IBC is conditional upon results from background and drug testing.
