    Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Early Intervention

    Location: Work available in all 5 boroughs. Choose your zip codes

    Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time/Contract

    Introduction: As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in our Early Intervention program, you will play a crucial role in providing therapy services to children aged birth to 3 years in their most natural environments. Under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist, this position allows you to work directly with children and their families in diverse settings, including homes, daycare settings, and community settings, to support developmental goals through occupational therapy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver occupational therapy services as directed by a Licensed Occupational Therapist, following the children's Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
    • Operate in a variety of environments such as client homes, day care centers, and other community settings, adapting interventions to each setting.
    • Educate and engage family members and caregivers with strategies to support the child's development, ensuring active involvement and continuity of care.
    • Plan and document ongoing treatment, clearly communicate treatment plans and goals to parents and caregivers.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information in accordance with HIPAA and state and federal regulations.
    • Ensure timely and accurate submission of treatment records and other documentation to the agency.

    Qualifications:

    • Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in NYS
    • Experience in pediatrics or early intervention preferred but not required.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
    • Organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
