  • Demonstrate professional and administrative leadership for the management of the Occupational Therapy Department
  • Responsible for daily operations of all occupational therapy services insuring compliance with standards of care and productivity protocols
  • Plan departmental goals and objectives for children ages 021 years in compliance with organizational Mission and Values
  • Coordinates all activities of the Appliance Clinic with the Chief Medical Officer.

Position Functions and Responsibilities
1.

Responsible to treat 4-6 patients a day.2.

Responsible for recruitment and supervision of discipline specific staff in collaboration with Director of Rehabilitation and Chief Medical Officer.3.

Ensure compliance with discipline specific standard of care protocols4.


Participate in development of Quality Improvement Plan and complete quarterly monitoring reports with timely submission to the Director of Rehabilitation.

Maintain appropriate productivity levels in daily scheduling of patients

6.

Participate in discipline specific meetings with staff on a regular basis.

7.


Participate in weekly interdisciplinary meetings with Director of Rehabilitation and weekly clinic leadership meetings with Clinic Director and Chief Medical Officer.

Administer discipline specific duties in accordance with ESCRC policies and procedures.

9.

Carry out all duties that may be requested by Director of Rehabilitation and/or Chief Medical Officer.10.

Responsible for material management, monitoring of inventory.

Keep current with industry standard for department.12.

Carry out staff development and in-service training on scheduled basis.13.

Assist in treatment responsibilities when necessary14.

Responsible for management of Student Program in conjunction with Supervisors and Director of Rehabilitation.15.


Comply with established ESCRC policies and procedures re: quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control, confidentiality of patient information, customer service, attendance, punctuality, dress code, professional conduct, annual health assessments etc.


Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy with NYS license.
  • Continue to maintain license in good standing.

Experience:


  • Minimum of seven years clinical experience,
  • Five plus years of supervisory experience with staffing level of a minimum 7 to 10 clinical personnel.
  • Strong clinical skills in the delivery of pediatric therapy (021 years).
  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills
  • Ability to provide training in discipline specific areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must meet or exceed all general health standards and requirements for the position as established by employer in compliance with NYSDOH and other regulatory agencies if appropriate
  • Must be able to lift, carry, transfer and position patients in therapeutic equipment on static and movable surfaces.
  • Must be able to stand and move freely while treating and supervising patients
  • Must be able to assist in the evacuation of patients as necessary.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment, normal patient care environment


Salary:

**$115,000/Yr. to $120,000/Yr.
