Risk Manager
This position is responsible for the successful identification and proactive mitigation of risk at NGi.

Successful incumbent will advise management of any potential risks that may affect the reputation, safety, security, financial sustainability and profitability of the company.

The Risk Manager will specialize in a variety of areas including business continuity, enterprise/operational risk, regulatory and legal risk, and others.


Key Responsibilities:


CONTRACTS

  • Reviews, modifies, administers and negotiates project contract agreements with GC's to minimize risks and ensure NGi has favorable terms, conditions and scope.
  • Negotiates master agreements with key, recurring GC customers.
  • Provides approval/signoff for every new contract agreement that NGI executes.
  • Administer and negotiate master agreements with NGi subcontractors

OTHER DUTIES

  • Develops corporate risk management strategy and associated compliance tools.
  • Responsible for business insurance matters, including working with carriers, brokers and staff to ensure compliance with company risk management goals, policies and procedures. (includes claims, CCIP, SDI, Captive).
  • Stays current on industry changes to keep tools and procedures for contract compliance.
  • Conducts risk assessments affecting the business and creates strategies to manage (i.e. disaster recovery, continuity planning, etc).
  • Makes sound decisions in risk control, mitigation, avoidance and finance options.
  • Provides support, education and training to NGi staff related to risk management.
  • Provides inhouse counsel and advice to project teams as needed for change orders, delays, accelerations.
  • Partners with outside legal counsel for guidance and support.
  • Coordinates all internal efforts, alongside outside counsel, to manage any legal occurrences.
  • Leads efforts in finalizing agreements for joint ventures and/or acquisitions.
  • Reviews, negotiates and manages any jobsite or satellite office lease agreements.
  • Assist safety department in managing workers compensation claims and provide legal guidance on intersecting employment related matters. Other duties as assigned.

Education:
_**- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, or other related field; Master's preferred.

  • 15 years' experience analyzing risk in construction preferred.
  • Must demonstrate mastery of technical computer skills; proficiency in MS Office Suite and other job specific technical software.

Qualifications:


  • Advanced knowledge of industry specific regulations.
  • Ability to review contracts for scope and bid amount accuracies as well as qualifications.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish processes where no precedent or guidelines exist.
  • Understands deadlines and demonstrates mastery in selfdiscipline to stay on task.
  • Strong customer relation skills.
  • High ethical standards.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills.
