Description

The Department of Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco(UCSF) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Investigational Cellular Therapy (ICT) group.

ICT aims to push the boundaries of medicine by developing, engineering, and manufacturing promising new cell therapy products for a variety of indications including cancer, autoimmunity, infectious disease, and inherited hematologic and immune disorders.

ICT has established collaborations with research groups within UCSF, academic institutions and industrial parners to advance cell therapies with enhanced safety and efficacy.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.


Department Description

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, bioengineering, or related field).
  • Minimum of 1+ years related experience
  • Strong understanding of cell biology and basic laboratory techniques.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Organizational abilities and decisionmaking to prioritize work assignments.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner, to assist in identifying any challenges or barriers.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to the development of innovative cellbased therapies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cell culture techniques and aseptic processing.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis software.
  • Previous internship or research experience in a related field.
  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines.
