- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive environmental planning strategies aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Project Management: Oversee environmental planning projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of environmental planners, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant environmental regulations and ensure project compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to facilitate consensus-building and ensure project success.
- Environmental Impact Assessment: Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) to evaluate the potential environmental effects of proposed development projects and recommend mitigation measures.
- Sustainable Development: Promote sustainable land use and development practices, including green infrastructure, renewable energy, and resource conservation.
- Policy Advocacy: Advocate for policies and regulations that promote environmental conservation and sustainable development at the local, regional, and national levels.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental planning, urban planning, environmental science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental planning, with demonstrated expertise in project management and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, including NEPA, CEQA, and other relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
