Job Overview:
Work directly with the owner in an early-stage restoration company. Grow with the company and work your way into a supervisor/estimator/project manager role. We do water restoration, mold remediation, and roofing. Willingness to learn, pay attention to detail, and communicate clearly are important. There will be professional development opportunities like certifications, training, and networking.
Responsibilities:
- Be at the facility within 1hr of being called.
- Learn how we do restoration (it's by the book)
- Do inspections (interior, attic, & roof) to help homeowners understand their damage, how we work, and what to do next. This requires great communication skills.
- Manage expectations and scheduling with the homeowners.
- Determine the mitigation scope of work for the project.
- Document every project thoroughly using a couple different apps.
- Set up containment to prevent crosscontamination.
- Load/unload equipment, set it up, and monitor as needed.
- Remove unsalvageable materials with hand and power tools.
- Clean, sanitize, and vacuum the structure and equipment.
- Manage reconstruction subcontractors, pickup/deliver materials as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Clear communicator
- Positive attitude
- Professional appearance
- Proficient in using hand and power tools safely
- Attention to detail (and documenting those details)
- Can lift 75 pounds
- Comfortable on ladders and roofs
- Can work with PPE (including respirators)
- Can work in tight, uncomfortable spaces such as attics
- Qualifies for mold license (5yrs construction exp + GED)
- Valid TX driver's license with a good driving record
- Pass background check
Required Experience:
- 2+ years water restoration or mold remediation
Preferred:
- IICRC certification(s)
- OSHA training
- Xactimate or Symbility estimating familiarity
- Remodeling experience (painting, flooring, drywall, roofing, trim)
Timeline:
- Start ASAP, first 90 days are a probation period paid as an independent contractor
