    Description
    Reports To: Director, Client Accounting

    Primary Function: Maintain financial statements for commercial and multifamily real estate properties

    Education: BS Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred. Minimum five years' work-related experience

    Qualifications: Accounting experience including financial statement reporting, bank reconciliations and journal entries. Strong excel and accounting system skills are required. Real estate experience a plus.

    Responsibilities:
    • Prepare monthly financial statements & supporting schedules
      1. Practical understanding of accounting principles
      2. Monthly bankreconciliations, research and resolve reconciling items
      3. Mortgage escrow account reconciliations
      4. Journal entries, includingaccruals, depreciation andamortization, etc.
      5. Balance sheet reconciliations
      6. Record transactions from a closing statement
      7. Calculate distributions toowners
      8. Monitor cash flow and accountspayable
      9. Validate/calculate monthly management fee calculation
      10. Assist owners with year-end audit/taxreporting
    • Assist with the onboarding of new properties, record activity from prior manager, monitor utility, mortgage, and other sensitive vendor
    • Monthly bank reconciliations for master accounts and resolution of reconciling items
    • Special projects
    • Train and support accounting team members
