Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Answer and service phone calls. Perform appropriate followup for sales calls.
  • Promote sales efforts and long term relationships with repeat customers.
  • Drive sale to meet sales/gross profit goals and promotional /clearance specials.
  • Provide customerpricing service using quote system
  • Process orders, including counter, deliveries, special orders and directs shipments.
  • Process customer returns and credits, following company policy and procedure.
  • Maintain and followup on any inventory sourced or special ordered into the branch.
  • Thorough understanding of all customer processes and paperwork
  • Daily interaction with vendors, ordering inventory and scheduling deliveries
  • Communicate pricing objections to appropriate personnel
  • Provide daily support to outside sales team
  • Set up and maintain cash deposit job folders.
  • Assist credit department with collection of overdue accounts
  • Maintain and update sales literature and sales aids in the showroom.
  • Communicate inventory issues with manager and inventory control.
  • Keep showroom and work area neat, clean and well organized
  • Ensure all displays are current and good condition
  • Work assigned Saturdays and as scheduled
  • Participate in annual physical inventory
  • Maintain showroom inventory up to date
  • Attend all appropriate / relevant meetings (sales, branch, safety, product training, etc.)
  • Attend trade shows and industry association meetings as required
  • Share knowledge, train and mentor other TSCO employees
  • Follow dress code for showroom personnel and maintain a professional appearance
  • Promote and display teamwork.
