- Provide counseling and education to patients regarding surgical and anesthetic options.
- Perform thorough anesthetic focused assessment.
- Determine safest patient focused plan for anesthesia, analgesia, multi modal pain management, post operative recovery and discharge to home.
- Ensure patient understanding and obtain anesthetic specific informed consent.
- Order and administer preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative anesthetic medications, including appropriate antiemetics, hemodynamic agents and controlled substances.
- Initiate anesthesia by securing the airway (if appropriate), maintain appropriate anesthetic depth, and conduct a controlled emergence and extubation (if appropriate) for given anesthetic.
- Complete post operative assessment
- Participate and conduct anesthesia related educational programs.

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly qualified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Suburban Community Hospital in Philly, PA.
The role of the Nurse Anesthetist at our facility includes providing quality anesthesia services to patients before, during and after surgery. The Anesthesiologist will be responsible for evaluating the patient's medical history and providing pre-operative and post-operative care. In addition, the Nurse Anesthetist will provide anesthesia for a variety of surgeries, including orthopedic, and vascular surgeries.
